KUWAIT: During the early hours of the new year, an Indian and Kuwaiti woman gave birth to female babies each at the Adan hospital. Hospital workers had placed a armbands bearing the mothers' names on the arms of each baby, as a mark of identification. After a few hours, the Kuwaiti woman was discharged from the hospital and took home one of the babies.
This was followed by the exit of the Indian woman who also took the second baby, reported Al-Anbaa. However, hospital authorities soon noticed that the mothers had taken the wrong babies, even though the mother's name was clearly written. The Kuwaiti and Indian women were asked to return the babies, much to their chagrin. The employees explained to the administrative officials that there was no lapse from side.
